Just as fire departments have evolved, so too have their Fire Prevention and Public Education Bureaus. Community Risk Reduction is a much bigger part of the fire service than ever before. Fire inspectors and public educators not only teach children how to “stop, drop and roll,” we also work with older adults to help eliminate trip-and-fall hazards in their homes and with social groups to teach them how to identify and eliminate fire hazards in their homes. Fire Prevention and Public Education Bureaus have become Community Risk Reduction Bureaus.

Throughout these pages, you’ll find helpful – possibly even life-saving – information and related links should you need more in-depth information. For smoke/CO detector installations, questions or to request information from the fire department, please contact us.
