Harrods Creek Fire Protection District

Harrods Creek Fire Department is a one of (17) Kentucky Chapter 75 Fire Protection Districts that serves the Jefferson County, Kentucky which is located within the Louisville Metropolitan Area. Harrods Creek Fire Department is a career fire department in the Northeast corner of the county that serves 20 square miles and provides ALS (Paramedic) Engine Companies. HCFD participates in the closest unit dispatch protocol with Louisville MetroSafe which automatically sends the closest qualified fire apparatus to the emergency regardless of district lines.

Personnel

The Harrods Creek Fire Protection District  provides 24-hour protection to the citizens of the Harrods Creek Fire Protection District and neighboring Fire Districts with (2) 24-hour Engine Companies, while also maintaining Rescue 1288 as a Special Response apparatus available to respond to Technical Rescue Responses as part of the Jefferson County Special Operations Command.
